Keywords:spin-orbit interaction, effective magnetic field

In III-V semiconductor quantum well (QW), an effective magnetic field acts on electrons with momentum due to spin-orbit interaction (SOI), and the effective magnetic field due to Dresselhaus SOI usually acts orthogonally in QWs on the (110) plane. In this study, we measured the spatio-temporal spin dynamics using the time-resolved Kerr rotation method and observed the position dependence of the spin precession frequency. This not only confirms the existence of the effective field normal to QW but also reveals that the parameter β, which determines the magnitude of the Dresselhaus effective field, is very large.
