Keywords:organic field-effect transistors, small-molecule organic semiconductors, phenacene-type molecules

Phenacene-type molecules are promising as skeletons for high-performance OFET materials due to their unique less-node HOMO. In this research, we have developed fuluminenodithiophene (FuDT), an 8-ring fused thienophenacene molecule with highly extended π-conjugation, to further improve transistor properties by expanding π-conjugation. Moreover, we investigated its physicochemical properties and OFET characteristics.
