Multimode fiber is a promising medium for ultra-thin endoscopes due to its unique nature of simultaneously realizing high spatial resolution and minimal invasiveness. However, previously, spatial light modulators were used to modulate the illumination patterns, which made the system bulky and slow. In order to solve such issue, we recently proposed an imaging method using optical phased array to modulate the illumination patterns. Here, we report theoretical considerations and numerical analysis on the resolution limit of such imaging method.
