Knowledge for the pull-apart structure due to fault displacement is important in the setting of fault planes for strong motion analysis and fault displacement analysis in hazard assessment. Since the previous studies have been limited to individual case studies, fundamental knowledge of the structure is unclear. I combined FEM and optimization methods to estimate the fault plane arrangement that produces the features observed in the pull-apart structure: subsidence displacement field and prominent strike components on faults.
