In order to improve construction productibity of cast-in-place piles at low heads and narrow space, a cast-in-place pile method using a deployable reinforced cage using strands as longitudinal reinforcement has been developed. As a streamlined structure of the joint between pile and the steel tube column, we have developed a structure in which the anchorage of the strand is directly connected to the base plate of the column. In order to secure the proof strength and rigidity, the pile head may be enlarged in diameter. In this study, in order to realize the enlargement at the pile top, a full-scale model of a deployable cage with an enlarged top was manufactured and its deployability was confirmed.
