Outline of Presentation and Abstract Submission

Participation Policy

  Because the 71st Divisional Meeting of Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry will be held online, participants are strongly requested to adhere to the protection of works and intellectual property policies in regards to the content of the presentations and related materials given by other people, more than the case of normal face-to-face meetings. The participants in this meeting must therefore agree to fully understand and comply with the participation policy mentioned below.
 
Participation Policy of the 71st Divisional Meeting of Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry
  • It is strictly prohibited to video- and audio-record other people’s lectures, to copy other people’s presentation materials (including by means of screen capture and recording with external instruments, such as camera and video), and to release related data on the internet through SNS.
  • Only people who are registered properly according to the prescribed procedure on the meeting website can participate in the meeting to give presentations, make discussions, audit lectures, view materials, and so on.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify people from participating in the meeting, if they violate the participation policy or are found by the organizing committee to behave inappropriately in regards to research ethics and socially accepted conventions. The organizing committee may also take necessary actions against such people in terms of the protection of works and intellectual property policies.


Presentation

  This meeting accepts online presentation as corresponding to oral one. In the presentation, presenters can use up to nine pages of PDF file (less than 10 MB for one page) prepared from MS Power Point file in A4-slide horizontal format. The presenters should upload the presentation files by specified date and time informed by the organizing committee later. After published on the online meeting website, the presenter takes questions and comments from attendees, and make answers, during a specified time frame.
  The details of online presentation will be announced after the presentation program is decided.
  Plenary Lectures will be delivered through online live streaming at PM on September 15 (Tue).

 

Abstract

  All presenters are required to submit a short abstract (within 100 words in English) along with presenters’ names and affiliations, presentation title, keywords, and so on, for application of presentation by July 7. If you would like to give a series of presentations consequently from your research group, please note it on the remarks column of your 'Registration' website.
  After receipt of acceptance notice for your applied presentation from the organizing committee, a full abstract (A4 paper size, 1 page) should be prepared by using a template downloaded from the website below and submitted in PDF format through your 'Registration' website in the period from July 7 to 31
 
 
 

 

Awards for Students and Young Scientists

Student Online Presentation Award

An applicant should be a doctoral, master’s, or undergraduate student of university aged 35 years old or younger as of April 1, 2020. The evaluation will be made based on submitted abstract and online presentation by the applicant. To apply for this award, please select ‘Apply for Student Online Presentation Award’ and fill in birth date of applicant along with name and E-mail address of supervisor on the ‘Registration’ website in the process of application of presentation.
※Because of so many applicants, the first-stage screening will be made on the basis of abstracts, to choose candidates for the second-stage (final) evaluation based on the online presentations. The candidates will be announced on around August 20.
 

Best Online Presentation Award

An applicant should be a researcher or doctoral student aged 35 years old or younger as of April 1, 2020. The evaluation will be made based on submitted abstract and online presentation by the applicant. To apply for this award, please select ‘Apply for Best Online Presentation Award’ and fill in birth date of applicant on the ‘Registration’ website in the process of application of presentation. If an applicant is a Ph.D student, please enter name and E-mail address of supervisor, too. Winners will be asked to contribute short articles for introduction of researches to the newsletter C&I communication.
※The examination will be conducted on the basis of abstract and presentation at the time of online presentation (the first-stage screening based on abstracts is not made).
