A tight lattice fuel assembly can be formed with wire spacers, which may allow us to have faster neutron spectrum in LWR. The database of critical heat flux database for bundles with wire spacers has not been well developed. The objective of the present study is to investigate the critical heat flux for a single fuel pin with and without a wire spacer.
