[1J12] Prediction of Wastage Rate in Sodium-Water Reaction by Hierarchical Bayesian Approach
Keywords:Hierarchical Bayesian Approach, Sodium-Water Reaction, Heat Transfer Tube, Westage
In the development of a sodium-cooled fast reactor, it is an important issue to establish the safety of the steam generator. The steam generator is a heat exchanger between water in the tube and liquid sodium filling the outside through a heat transfer tube about 3 mm thickness. If any defect occurs in this heat transfer tube, it causes wastage phenomenon. Experiments to quantitatively understand the wastage phenomenon and studies on the evaluation formula of the wastage rate have been attempted in the past. However, the uncertainty of the experiment is large because there are many parameters related to the wastage phenomenon, and the applicability of the evaluation formula is limited because it is based on the experiment. In this study, we proposed an evaluation model for the wastage rate using Bayesian inference with uncertainty and an evaluation equation that takes physical phenomena into account to make a highly versatile prediction. The model was then applied to the experimental wastage data to evaluate the model performance.
