[2B12] Effects of various operating parameters on the decomposition of dibutyl phosphate using the vapor-phase pulsed discharge technique.
Keywords:Pulsed discharge
In this research, we focused on the "gas-phase pulsed discharge method" as one of the methods to efficiently decompose dibutyl phosphate (DBP) in alkaline wastewater, and the systematic pulsed discharge treatments of two kinds of simulated alkaline wastewaters (initial DBP concentration: 5 g/L) were conducted at ambient temperature and pressure using a small batch-type glass reactor (electrodes: tungsten - SS316) to investigate effects of various operating parameters on the DBP conversion rate. As a result, it was confirmed that all the parameters greatly contribute to the conversion rate, and clarified that the DBP decomposition followed the pseudo first-order reaction rate law. Further, we tried to explore suitable conditions where the decomposition of DBP took place efficiency.
