[2L01] Applicability study of luminescence properties of Er2O3 for environmental sensors in a fusion reactor
Keywords:Electrical insulating material, luminescence, Irradiation damages, Environmental sensor
In cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence spectra of Er2O3 materials, which has been studied as a candidate material for ceramic coatings in a liquid metal cooled fusion blanket system, intense luminescence peaks are observed in the two wavelength regions of 540-580 nm (green) and 655-690 nm (red). Since it has been revealed that the intensity balance of the luminescence peaks changes according to the crystallinities and temperatures, the applicability of Er2O3 materials for sensors of neutrons and temperature environments in a fusion reactor is being investigated.
