[3H_PL01] Philosophy of Atomic Energy
Hiroshi Toya, a philosopher, wrote a book The Philosophy of Atomic Energy. He was awarded the 2022 Excellent Publication Award of the Social and Environmental Division of the AESJ.
It shed new lights on the relationship between atomic energy and human beings, through the lenses of the seven philosophers' thoughts. It asks many fundamental questions: what kind of world do we live in with atomic energy? how do people exist in such a world?
In this session, we will invite Toya for the award lecture with a discussant. We will then have a roundtable on the insights of his book. It will provide an opportunity for the audiences to broaden their perspectives on this topic.
