This study focused on the Spark plasma sintering (SPS) method as the rapid and low-temperature solidification method for fabricating synroc-based waste-solidification. The SPS method directly applies the electrical field to materials with uniaxial pressure. The reaction behavior differs from the conventional synthesis in an electric furnace. Especially, the solidification and densification temperatures are significantly decreasing. In this study, we applied the SPS method to fabricate titanates, one of the synrocs, and investigated the solidification behavior during SPS.
