The laws for conservation in geoparks are mainly the Natural Park Law and Law for the Protection of Cultural Property. The background of the law is different, but in both cases promotion of preservation and use is the key. So, the Ministry of the Environment and the Agency for Cultural Affairs indirectly support the geopark activities in Japan, in order to coincide with the goal of geopark activities. This time we will provide information on trends in the past 10 years on the relationship between the administration and Geopark.
