[EV04-04] Machine Learning in Volcanology and Petrology
Understanding the architecture of magmatic systems and their temporal evolution is crucial to anticipate the behavior of volcanic systems. Essential to this endeavor is the quantitative study of past eruptions. I will present machine learning approaches applied to the geochemistry of rocks and minerals that allow to quantitatively link the evolution of plumbing systems and the eruptive behavior of volcanoes.
