We analyze how 1193 senior citizens who have never used smartphones before can learn and utilize them in 2 years. We use all the log information of the smartphones, which are lent by Shibuya Ward. We clarify the relationship between smartphone use and behavioral change (traveled distance) of the senior citizens. We use the administrative information under the research agreement with Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. The information consists of the questionnaires and the interviews at the training sessions, every usage logs of the smartphone devices, GPS data of the devices captured every 10 minutes. Our results compare the frequency of travel and its traffic distance of the participants in 2022 and 2023. We indicate how the utilization of devices influences their travel. The results show that there are no significant differences in travel frequency, while the traveled distance is in significantly positive relation with the participants' familiarity to their devices.
