[16a-P06-6] Evaluation of the ultrasonic velocity change imaging under temperature change
by warm and cold water
Keywords:Ultrasonic, imaging, forearm portion
We have been investigating the application of the ultrasonic velocity variation method for non-invasive examination of the properties of carotid plaque and estimation of fat content in the liver. In our previous report, we used ultrasonic heating from the skin surface as a method to provide the temperature change necessary for the UVC method. However, we found that ultrasonic absorption by subcutaneous fat was large and the temperature change could not be effectively applied to the deep part of the body. In the present study, we attempted to apply temperature change to the deep part of the body using hot and cold water to produce UVC images.
