▼ [19a-Z14-4] Control of Magnetic properties of spinel ferrite thin film for magnonic applications
キーワード:Spinel ferrite, Pulsed laser deposition, Gilbert damping
In this work, spin-wave-application potential of spinel-type ferrite thin film is confirmed. The YIG thin film was promising for propagation of spin wave, however, the garnet oxides are high cost and have low environmental compatibility, and they are imcompatible with the current silicon-integrated circuir technology, as their epitaxial growth is possible only on the garnet-type substrates. The ferrite films, who show better lattice consistency with other crystal systems than the YIG, can be promising to industrial spin-wave application. Here we choose the spinel-type γ-Fe2O3 and MgFe2O4 as the candidate materials, and use PLD to deposit some kinds of ferrite magnetic materials, which have high crystallinity. The structural characterizations are revealed by XRD, and the Gilbert damping constants are measured by FMR. The results revealed that the spinel-type ferrite thin films also show good Gilbert damping constant to guarantee long propagation distance of the spin wave.
