The NaNbO3 nanocubes with controlled sizes of less than 100 nm have rarely been reported. Therefore, in this study, we focused on the size control of the NaNbO3 nanocubes synthesized using surfactant-free solvothermal method.The NaNbO3 nanocubes were prepared in two steps. In the first step, the Nb2O5 sol was prepared using Ammonium niobium (V) oxalate hydrate, as it is hydrolysis resistant at ambient conditions. In the second step, NaNbO3 nanocubes were synthesized using microwave synthesis. The formed NaNbO3 nanocubes exhibited single phase perovskite structure in X-ray diffraction studies. The size of the nanocubes were estimated to be 50 – 60 nm by Scanning electron microscope images. In our lab, we are focused on the assembly formation of nanocubes using two-solvent method and capillary action. Therefore, the assembly formation of the NaNbO3 nanocubes and their dielectric properties are under investigation and the results will be reported during the presentation.
