In this study, a compact system for on-site chlorophyll (Chl) measurement was fabricated, and the ratio of Chl a to Chl b (Chl a/b ratio) and the possibility of its quantification were verified using the system. The chlorophyll measurement system consists of a filter-free sensor and a system for measuring the microcurrents from the sensor. Experiments using Chl extracted from leaves with a spectrometer and a production system showed that both the Chl a/b ratio and the Chl content, which is the total amount of Chl a and Chl b, changed linearly.
