[CS2-15] USE OF DOUBLE WEIGHTING TO COMPENSATE FOR DATA VARIATION IN A MULTICRITERIA SUSTAINABILITY EVALUATION
Keywords:weighting, multicriteria analysis, sustainability, concrete
Weights represent the indicator importance preferences of the decision makers when comparing alternatives in terms of their sustainability score. However, assigning weights directly without regard to the internal data variation could result in double counting, and such a phenomenon should be avoided as this could introduce bias to the analysis, affecting the sustainability score. To be sensitive to the data structure, a double weighting is proposed for the sustainability evaluation by combining the weight representing the importance and the other weight to account for data variation.
