Effect of carbonate concentration on dissolution rate of UO₂ and spent fuel has been reviewed. It is found that the dissolution rate under anoxic conditions is larger than that under reducing conditions, and a systematic study on dissolution rate of UO₂ and/or spent fuel under reducing conditions as a function of carbonate concentration is recommended due to insufficient data.
