Effect of carbonate concentration on dissolution rate of UO2 and spent fuel has been reviewed. It is found that the dissolution rate under anoxic conditions is larger than that under reducing conditions, and a systematic study on dissolution rate of UO2 and/or spent fuel under reducing conditions as a function of carbonate concentration is recommended due to insufficient data.
