Japan Atomic Energy Agency has been coducting R&D, through experiment and simulation, on hydrogen safety technologies to clarify the hydrogen behavior in severe accident conditions of Nuclear Power Station(NPS). To improve the safety performance of NPS, especially on the hydrogen safety under severe accident conditions, a simulation code system has been developed to analyze hydrogen behaviors including diffusion, comustion, explosion and structual integrity evaluation.
