This dry storage method dose not require a building.A dry metal cask containing spent fuel assmblies is overpacked by a concrete shielding,the external shape of which is a hexagonal prism.The concrete overpacks are aligned side-by-side without gaps and placed on the ground to form the strong and earthquake resistant honeycomb structure.
