Novel tannic acid-type organic composite adsorbents combined with typical anion exchange resins (TOCA) were synthesized successfully and the adsorption behavior of cesium, strontium, iodine including iodide species etc. using the synthesized adsorbents have been studied in several types of river water at a temperature range of 278–318 K, compared with those of some typical resins. We have confirmed that IOCA can strongly adsorb with the examined species in river water. Based on the results, we have thermodynamically examined the adsorption-desorption mechanisms among them.
