Elucidation of the influence of fault displacement on nuclear facilities is an important issue.
It is useful to investigate the possibility of creating a step on the ground under the structureand damage on the ground and structures due to steps and displacement. Damages caused by fault displacement in the past earthquake and general structures are investigated and reported. However, the impact on nuclear facilities has not been adequately studied. Regarding the phenomenon of fault displacement and the influence on nuclear facilities, the data accumulation and experience are small at present, and especially the epistemic uncertainty is large.
In this report, in order to contribute to PRA due to fault displacement, we investigated the influence of nuclear power plants on principal civil engineering structures compared with design values.
