ガラス固化技術開発施設（TVF）のガラス固化処理期間の短縮に向けた方策の一つとして、これまで次期ガラス溶融炉（3号炉）への要求機能や施設側の前提条件、制約条件を整理し、候補炉型式を検討してきた。本報告では、前報(4)で設定した複数の候補炉形式に対し、熱流動解析による相互比較及び技術課題/リスク検討の上、3号炉の基本構造について、円錐45度炉底形状とした。
