The electro-refining system consisting of Cd pool anode with dissolved fuel and Ga cathode was selected for TRU-40wt%Zr metal fuel. Based on the preliminary evaluation of the recycling facility, it was obtained that the system cost per an unit amount of TRU burning would be reduced to 1/4 compared to uranium-containing FR cycle without blanket.
