Removal of rare-earth FPs from spent salt by conversion to precipitate is considered in fast reactor cycle using uranium-free TRU metal fuel. Therefore, experiments to consolidate precipitated Gd, which was generated by addition of Li2O in molten LiCl-KCl salt containing GdCl3, into glass-bonded sodalite form after salt distillation under high-temperature vacuum condition were conducted.
