[2M17] Adjoint function satisfying alpha eigenvlue equation in comparison to Iterated Fission Probability

*Yasushi Nauchi1 (1. CRIEPI)

Keywords:alpha eigenvalue equation, adjoint flux, Iterated Fission Probability, continuous energy Monte Carlo method, prompt critical state

Adjoint flux satisfying the alpha-mode equation is known to be proportional to the amplitude of the neutron flux formed a certain period after by the neutron and its descendant. On account of the proportional relation, we can calculate the adjoint flux by the continuous energy Monte Carlo method. The author calculate the adjoint flux for a MOX fuel core in the prompt-critical state. The adjoint flux is well agreed with the iterated fission probability. Accordingly, the calculation scheme of the adjoint flux is verified.
