STRADプロジェクトの一環として、廃溶媒に含まれる核燃料物質の回収方法について、固体吸着材を用いた吸着分離方法を検討した。Zrを核燃料物質の模擬物質とし、DBPを含む廃溶媒と、スルホン基やイミノ二酢酸基、リン酸基、アミドキシム基をもつ吸着材を使用し、吸着量及び吸着率を求める吸着試験を実施した。酸性から中性の範囲で吸着反応を示す吸着材が良好な吸着性能を示したことから、イミノ二酢酸基が廃溶媒処理に適していることを明らかにした。
