In the plutonium fuel production facility of nuclear fuel cycle engineering laboratory of JAEA, new measures to prevent fire damage for the glove box handling nuclear fuel material were investigated. The measures were to seal non-burnable or flame-retardant sheets on acrylic window plates. In this study, assuming the use environment of the glove box, γ-ray or ultraviolet ray irradiations to the non-burnable or flame-retardant sheets were conducted. The influence of the irradiation on the performance of non-burnable or flame-retardant, the mechanical strength, and visibility was evaluated.
