Mirion Technologies Canberra KK and Obayashi corporation developed a system named TRUCKSCAN for effectively measuring contaminated soils to be removed. TRUCKSCAN consists of eight NaI(Tl) detectors (3x3 inches, temperature compensated type) each in a lead shield with a collimated view. Moreover, these detectors and collimators were calibrated by In-Situ Object Counting Software (ISOCS) as for mathematical efficiency calculations. Gamma spectroscopy on each of 8 spectra with this special software applying the Maximum Entropy Analysis method and the Lagrange multiplier method provide the results to determine the activity in each of multiple Flexible Containers. TRUCKSCAN has been applied to Minami-Soma and Shirakawa interim storage area to validate actual measurement campaign. In this presentation, we show further details with comparing Ge and traditional methods.
