At the Rokkasho reprocessing plant, in preparation for the criticality accident in organic phase, m-carborane is deployed as the neutron absorber. There are few data about chemical properties, impurities and stability of m-carborane.
We analyzed m-carborane by the method secured traceability to SI units.
Quantitative-NMR (qNMR) method is also adopted for the determination of impurities.
