Ion irradiations at around 573 K were performed on F82H steel and its model steel (Fe-Cr-C system), and the instability behavior of M23C6 at each irradiation temperature was evaluated by microstructure observations after irradiation. Amorphization of M23C6 was confirmed in the lower dose specimen (~1 dpa), and the maximum amorphization temperature was estimated at 573 K under the conditions of this study. Although, the amorphous and crystalline M23C6 co-existed in all of the irradiation temperature conditions in this study.
