In this study, melt-solidified fuel debris simulants comprising UO2, were fabricated using eutectic reactions. Reference samples were also prepared by sintering method. Uniaxial compression test were performed to evaluate the uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), and X-ray CT technique was used to obtain information on the pore structure. The results showed that the UCS decreased with increasing the porosity.
