Based on the results of the mechanical cutting test using a Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) grinding wheel as the cutting tool, the disassembling and cutting mechanism of the CBN grinding wheel in the cutting of the wrapper tube and the fuel pin was examined from the relationship between the cutting progress of the CBN grinding wheel and the current of the cutting rotary motor and the grinding ratio (Grinded test piece volume/worn grinding wheel volume).
