In this study, a design concept of the small CANDLE burning reactor using sodium coolant was presented. The burnup performance of this design concept was investigated by the Monte Carlo based procedure. The results showed that the radius of the small sodium cooled CANDLE burning design was comparable to other sodium fast reactors.
