[2F09] Development of Dose Rate Reduction Technology for Improving LWR Utilization
(10)Improvement of Corrosion Product Behavior Evaluation Model Considering Effects of Noble Metal Injection and Zinc Injection
Keywords:Dose rate, Cobalt, Corrosion products, BWR, Zinc injection, NMCA
For the purpose of improving the accuracy of the Corrosion Product Behavior Evaluation (CP) model for boiling water Reactor (BWR), the effect of Zn injection on the fuel cladding and stainless steel piping was investigated by experiment against various water chemistry conditions of BWR. The water chemistry conditions were normal water chemistry (NWC), hydrogen water chemistry (HWC) and noble metal chemical addition (NMCA) of Fe/Ni ratio control plant and ultra low iron high Ni plant. Based on the results obtained, we have established a model that can evaluate the behavior of corrosion products in the case of applying noble metal injection and zinc injection by setting parameters related to Co deposition and dissolution of CP model under each water chemistry condition.
