MHI is developing a multi-purpose modular micro reactor used for electric power and heat source at isolated areas as well as energy stockpiling. The micro reactor is expected as one of the future nuclear options, featuring small size, portability and inherent safety, which provides totally different values from existing commercial power reactors.
