[2M07] Evaluation of measurement result of high energy neutron spectrum by a transfer exposure method using an X-ray imaging plate based on threshold nuclear reaction of converter foils
Keywords:Neutron energy spectrum, Activation method, Transfer exposure method, Imaging plate, Particle transport calculation
Evaluation of a neutron energy spectrum at a neutron irradiation field is important for characterizing the neutron beam. Therefore, we tried to deduce the energy spectrum of high energy neutrons from PSL (Photo Stimulated Luminescence) value of IP induced by radiations emitted from nuclides produced by threshold nuclear reactions of converter foils. Here, the PSL value was affected by beta-rays emitted from nuclides produced by not only threshold reaction but also resonance absorption. Hence, in this study, we tried to separate contributions of beta-rays induced with each reaction by stacking various thickness filter foils of the same material with the converter. We confirmed the deduced neutron spectrum by comparing with the result calculated by the PHITS code.
