We are developing a granulation technology that is effective for the performance of adsorbents used for decontaminating contaminated water. The application of the spray-aggregation granulation method, which is a granulation technology for high void granules developed as an application technology to cosmetic products, was studied as an adsorbent for radionuclides. As a result of evaluation using A-type zeolite, it was found that granules prepared by the spray-aggregation granulation method can adsorb stable cesium with high efficiency as compared with granules prepared by a general granulation method.
