Data corresponding to corrosion behaviors of metals in molten NaCl-CaCl2 system have been so far very few. We thus have carried out corrosion tests of the metallic materials for integral molten chloride salt fast reactor. Impedance measurement was conducted to determine various parameters, such as corrosion potentials, corrosion currents, and Nyquist plots. We also tested corrosion behavior of the carbon coating materials. Candidate materials for the new integral molten chloride salt fast reactor can be proposed from the corrosion point of view.
