Winning local endorsement for restarting NPP is difficult because the neighboring residents think that NPP is complicated and dangerous. In order for electric industrialists to better communicate with neighboring residents, they need to realize “what” and “how” to communicate. Team-EEE delivers class-on-demand to teach nuclear power and radiation to elementary school children with language and contents that are easily understood by children. In order to solve the said communication issue, I observed and analyzed the class-on-demand delivered to the 6th graders by Team-EEE in Iwaki city, Fukushima prefecture. After the class, it is suggested that the children have learned and understood basic knowledge of radiation as well as issues that must be dealt with to reactivate NPP.
