[3L02] Ultrafast time resolved electron diffraction using relativistic femtosecond electron pulses
Keywords:Femtosecond electron pulses, RF gun, Electron diffraction
Observations of ultrafast phenomena including structural phase transitions in materials and reactions in chemistry and biology are essential to directly understand reaction processes and materials function and to create new materials.
In order to observe these phenomena, we have developed a relativistic ultrafast electron diffraction with femtosecond electron pulses.
In this study, we attempted to measure the photo-induced structural phase transitions in silicon and organic crystalline materials by time resolved electron diffraction experiments. In this meeting, we will report the demonstrations and results.
