[2G06] Condensation Heat Transfer for Downward Flows of Steam-Air Mixture in a Circular Pipe

Condensation heat transfer coefficients hc were obtained from temperature distributions and condensation heat fluxes measured for downward flows of steam-air mixture in a circular pipe (diameter, 49.5 mm), and they were compared with current correlations based on the heat and mass transfer analogy and the diffusion layer model. Both correlations gave similar hc values, which agreed relatively well with the measured values. Both correlations underestimated hc in the region near the inlet with a thin boundary layer, and they overestimated hc in the region of low hc.
