Electric cables in the nuclear power plants are one of the important facilities because these are responsible for supplying electricity to the safety facilities and controlling equipment. The electric cables have risk to transmit false signal and become another fire source in fire accidents. In this study, combustion of electric cables was investigated experimentally. Effect of the oxygen concentration to the cable combustion was evaluated by the combustion test using containment chamber. Also, TG-DTA measurement were conducted for two types of cables. Results of combustion tests of electric cables using containment chamber were simulated by FDS using TG-DTA data.
