A temperature measurement method using neutron resonance absorption spectroscopy is a technique for obtaining sample temperature through profile analysis of neutron resonance absorption spectrum. We developed a method to make calibration curves between the characteristic profiles of spectra (peak width, spectrum area) and sample temperatures by combining temperature-dependent spectrum calculated by particle transport simulations. We had expected that spectrum area was usable for calibration curves. However, for thinner sample, the accuracy was lower than that obtained from the peak width. In this study, we confirmed that the accuracy of calibration curves using spectrum area became higher by considering the thermal expansion effect. Thus, it is expected that calibration curves can be obtained by a unified procedure using spectrum area.
