[2O17] Development of a direct evaluation method of crystalline microstructural information from neutron Bragg-edge transmission spectrum

The RITS code is a powerful tool for obtaining quantitative crystalline microstructural information from Bragg-edge neutron transmission spectrum. However, analyzing microstructure with the RITS code requires highly technical knowledges. The RITS code does not work correctly with initial parameters far from the final values. Therefore, the direct estimation method of microstructural parameters from Bragg-edge spectrum was developed to eliminate the professionality. Firstly, the effect on Bragg-edge spectrum due to microstructures was theoretically simulated, and the parameter estimation algorithm without fitting it was established. Then, this estimation algorithm was applied to Bragg-edge spectra with statistical error, and it was confirmed that estimation values obtained by this method have enough accuracy, which can be used for initial parameters of the RTIS code.
