[3O12] A new tune correction method with stair-like additional pole for 150 MeV FFAG accelerator

Magnets of particle accelerators are designed to assure the beam stability. Field correction devices such as correction coil and additional pole are generally used in order to adjust the difference of focusing force caused by manufacturing error. For FFAG accelerators which actively utilize non-linear field, stair-like additional pole has been proposed to optimize the magnetic field over the wide side region of the pole and its development is now advancing. In this study, a new vertical tune control method by the positive utilization of multipole magnetic field at around the edge of the steps of the additional pole is suggested.
