Alteration of UO₂ is an issue important for the decomissioning of Fukushima Dai-ichi NPPs of TEPCO or direct disposal of spent nuclear fuels. In this study, we studied alteration phases on UO₂ particles in different conditions by ultra-low temperature TRLFS which is a highly sensitive speciation analysis for U(VI) compounds.
